Signal of the Month – June 2023

NN4002 & NN4002CA – The Platform 2 starting signal at Nottingham. This highly unusual arrangement of signals, first installed at Lincoln, is as a result of Platform 2 being slightly too short for the trains. This means that the leading cab is too close to the main signal to be seen, therefore a co-acting head is positioned to show directly into the drivers side window.
